New Delhi: 94,612 people have been cured from coronavirus infection in the country’s last 24 hours. The number of patients recovering from infection has increased to 43,03,043 and the cure rate has reached 79.68 percent. The Ministry of Health said Sunday that 60 percent of the new patients cured from the infection are from five states – Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. At the same time, 52 percent of the new cases come from these five states.
The ministry said the maximum number of 23,000 patients in Maharashtra has recovered in the past 24 hours, while in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh 10-10,000 patients have recovered from infection. He said that more than 94,000 patients were cured for the second day in a row. 92,605 cases have been reported in the past 24 hours. After that, the number of confirmed cases has risen to 54,00,619.
Maharashtra has more than 20,000 (22.16 percent) patients in new cases. More than eight cases have been reported in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The ministry said 1,113 people have died from covid-19 in the past 24 hours. After that, the death toll has reached 86,752.
